Fall in Chicago

Sitting outside in the hot, muggy air of Florida is really making me miss cooler days. Going through old pictures on my phone, I came across a few from my trip to Chicago last October! Theres nothing better than the leaves changing colors and the temperature dropping.

Last year, me and a couple girls flew out to Chicago to visit a friend who just moved there. She lived in the country on the outskirts of Chicago but we made our way to the city for the weekend. Who knew Illinois was such a breathtaking place? We booked a hotel in the city and spent the next few days exploring what Chicago had to offer.
This was the hotel we stayed at. How gorgeous are those trees?

This was our view from the room. It wasn't a bad thing to wake up to each morning!

We walked around and visited all the touristy places you have to like the Bean! We originally went out to Chicago because one of my friends boyfriends got drafted for the Bears and we were visiting their new hometown! Luckily we got to go to a Bears vs Vikings games and it was one of the coolest experiences ever! We spent the rest of the day after the game walking around and getting Courtney (my friend who lives there now) familiar with the city. It was like a way cleaner, less trendy version of New York City.
I just couldn't get over the colors of all the trees. Being from Florida, we really only experience one season and it does not involve any sort of bright red leaves!

After all the fuss of the city, we made our way to one of the beaches off Lake Michigan. It was a small little area but could take your breath away from the view. Fallen leaves covered the sidewalk along the beach and the water was so clear and still. There were huge boulders and rocks separating the water and the sand. The weather was absolutely perfect and we just sat on the benches and talked until the sun fell. It was a nice getaway from the busy city.

Arizona

Hi y'all!

So a couple months ago back in May, me and a couples of my friends flew the four hour flight over to Arizona! It was absolutely beautiful and more than we could have ever imagined. And the Grand Canyon is absolutely mind blowing! It didn't seem real!

My mom would have killed me if she was here

The first few days were full of so much anxiety because my best friend of 17 years was getting ENGAGED and she was the only one who didn't know!

We went on a hike like any other day we were there but this time we were going to "The Devils Bridge". It was the longest and hardest hike we had done so far but knowing what was going to happen when we got there made it all worth it. We finally made it and decided to take a break and let the two soon to be fiancés take the first walk over. It was the prettiest scene and everyone was in tears!

After the proposal we went home and got ready for a celebratory dinner! We drank champagne and talked about how hard it had been to keep this secret from months from our ROOMMATE! Seeing her everyday and not wanting to shout that she was going to be engaged so soon was not an easy task! We had to take the obligatory 'just engaged' pictures of course!

Clearly I didn't get the look at the glass memo!

The next couple of remaining days were full of ATV rides through the canyons, brewery's and homemade meals! It was a trip I will never forget.

And as I'm typing this, my best friend is on her way to Europe to get married! It's crazy how fast we are growing up!

-I was born and raised in Tallahassee and plan on moving away after I graduate. I have always loved North Carolina and Tennessee so hopefully one of those places will become my new home one day!
-I want to pursue a career in wedding planning and blogging for them! And maybe one day start my own company
- I love fashion and traveling and plan on talking about my adventures along the way!

I can't wait to see where this takes me and hope to get to meet new people along the way!
